"Theodore was travelling companion, friend and favorite to Peter Bull, and although only 3 1/2 inches in height he stands very tall in character. Theodore was given to Peter Bull to celebrate a first night by his friend, Maurice Kaufmann. This gift was greatly welcomed as Peter had lost his first teddy bear to a jumble sale. For more than 35 years Theodore and Peter were inseparable."

Makers include -- Steiff, Chiltern, Farnell, Bing, Chad Valley, Merrythought, Eduard Cramer, Dean's, Hermann, many designer teddys, among OTHERS!

WOWSERS! The pics illustrating these bears and some other critters are a really kewl reference source for teddy makers, vintage arctophyle collectors and historians, alike. Each item description gives details on size, materials employed and dates.

Of special interest are the annotated references to Peter Bull, noted teddy bear author whose mascot was Theodore, and Donald Campbell, a race car and racing boat winner whose mascot, Mr. Whoppit, accompanied him on his many wins!
