WOWSERS! Books have been my best friends since my pre - teen years -- perhaps you noticed what MOST of my online auction items are? You should see the scores of shelves full of books I have, not to mention the innumerable boxes of them stashed virtually all over the place, here in New Jersey and in the Canary Islands (Spain). A friend recently asked me, "Aren't you afraid the floors will collapse?" [more about my book searching / finding may be seen in ]

This is a photo of a VERY small part of my personal reference library, as well as some of Evelio's busts and other art works in my now MUCH more cluttered apartment --

Reading books and international travel give one insights into life and its meaning, although the former are a LOT less expensive (usually) than world travel -- I've done BOTH, studying / teaching science in the USA, Germany, Spain, Iceland, Israel, Morocco and elsewhere, all on grants / scholarships -- I was never simply a tourist. My entire Weltanschaung is somewhat different from that of most folks who only know their own culture and mileau. I try to share these experiences via my online offerings.

This fine Antiquarian volume will give you some insight into the world of rare scientific and technical books. If you already are a bibliophile / student / book dealer / scientific researcher and started your own personal interactive computer database of these rare editions, I am sure that you will find many new items to add to it, in both photographs and textual information. One can sometimes still find some of these treasures at yard / garage sales, country / estate auctions, and, of course local flea markets. This tome may help you identify some of your finds as well as give you an idea of their potential value.

VERY extensive Principal Reference Works Cited.
