The book is divided into two sections -- Fine Jewels consisting of 423 lots, and Silver with a total of 266 lots.
Periods include -- Antique (over 100 years old), Art Nouveau (1895 - 1910), Belle Epoque (1895 - 1914), Art Deco (1915 - 1935), and Retro (1940s).
Items include -- chains, earrings and clips, necklaces, broaches, rings, bracelets, candelabra, table ornaments, cufflinks, watches, mugs, pitchers, trays, tea and coffee services, flatware, compotes, among HOARDS of others!
Makers include -- those in the header and -- Boucheron, Faberge, Gage, Kieselstein, Locke, Peretti, Udall & Ballou; Gorham, International, Heilbronn, Aldridge and MANY more! WOWSERS! I delight in seeing all of these absolutely scrumptious delights, even though I could never afford even the smallest of the jewelry masterpieces -- I particularly enjoy the gem-studded plant and animal motifs, and the micromosaic items. I do have a lot of sterling though, which also always interested Evelio. Each jewelry maker is listed in the 5 pages of Biographies, adding to the wealth of useful information contained in this tome. If you have begun a personal computer database of makers / styles / models, you will certainly find many new items to add to it, both in wonderful color photographs as well as in descriptive details, in this really kewl reference book.
